It was a shock to many people when Advocate Khumalo disrupted the funeral and demanded an amount worth ten million rands from the Department of Arts and Culture. He said that the department did not appreciate and respected her enough when she was still alive. Seeing members of the department of Arts and Culture at the funeral left him angry and he further said that the money that the department was planning to use for a flag should be used for her family.
