"Go back to law school. Or ask for a refund pal" Advocate Dali Mpofu tells a lawyer

"Re-enter the classroom and pursue a career in law. The other option is to seek for a refund from your friend" Lawyer Dali Mpofu informs another lawyer:

Dali Mpofu, a well-known South African advocate, and a lawyer on Twitter became involved in a debate on the courts' rulings on social media. The lawyer argued that court rulings are based on the law, not personal preference.

He went on to add that calling judicial decisions "opinions" is a dangerous position to take. Because of this, the lawyer was advised by Advocate Dali Mpofu to seek out an expert in evidence law for help.

In closing, Dali Mpofu stated the lawyer should return to law school or request a refund. Some people appeared to agree with Dali Mpofu, arguing that court decisions cannot be linked to laws because they are merely views, as one might anticipate.

In his own words, the aforementioned lawyer stated.

"It's a risky assumption to suggest that a court decision is merely an assertion of one's own beliefs. Judgments are binding precedent. It's not a matter of personal opinion."

Advocate Dali Mpofu's response was thus:

"Get your J.D. and attend law school once again!

Consider asking for a refund instead. Alternatively, you may enlist the assistance of a friend to walk you through the rules of evidence... The Rule in Hollingworth, first!"
