Some students are stronger than teachers, see as teachers dies in fight with student.

Some pupils are more powerful than their teachers, as evidenced by the death of a teacher in a battle with a student.

In Delta State, a secondary school teacher was reportedly slain during a confrontation with a student, according to reports.

In Abraka, Delta State, a fight broke out on Thursday between a pupil named Michael Ogbeife and his teacher, Joseph Ossai, at Erhimu Secondary School.

Until his death, the late teacher was in charge of the departments of Agricultural Science and Biology at the aforementioned school.

SS3 student was claimed to have battled the teacher after the instructor flogged his younger sister, Promise Ogbeife, who was embroiled in a fight with a classmate at the time of the incident.

Following his sister's flogging, Michael reportedly became enraged and went straight to the staff room to confront the teacher, according to insiders at the institution.

Ossai was claimed to have collapsed after punches from the student left him with a bloody nose and blood gushing from his mouth, according to witnesses.

He was taken to a private hospital first, and then transferred to a government hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Mr. Erhimu, the school's proprietor, stated that he had not yet received full details of the incident at the time of filing this report yesterday because he was not present when it occurred, but that he expected to receive them by Monday, at which point he ordered that the school be closed until then.

He responded to reports in the local media that he may have been involved in some strange actions that have resulted in a number of deaths at his school in recent years by saying, "I don't care what anybody says about me." 35 years have elapsed since I took over as principal of our institution. If a catastrophe like this occurs, I don't care what anyone says... Someone will begin to interpret it as having a deeper significance.

In the absence of evidence that I was involved in these fatalities, "God Almighty," whom I serve, will punish those who seek to blackmail me.

When contacted, Bight Edafe, a spokeswoman for the police, stated that the student was on the run.

"At this time, the suspect has not been located, but his sister is being held in protective custody," he explained.
