Teaching used to be a noble profession that was respected by many in South Africa. Many of us grew up in the times when people who lived in big houses were teachers.
But teachers have been losing their lives at the hands of criminals through senseless killings. Teachers are getting killed execution style and mostly just outside their place of work.
A deputy principal has been killed in Gauteng just outside her school. Gun men opened fire on her car. She got out her car and tried to run unfortunately they caught her and shot her multiple times.

Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga has today visited the family in Gauteng at Birchleigh North to pay her respect. The minister was saddened by the murder of the deputy principal just two weeks after the reopening of schools.
No update has been given by the police on the apprehension of the perpetrators.
