Sky News reported that more than 100 000 children were out of school as a result of confirmed Covid-19 cases the previous week .In accordance to the report , the number of children temporarily out of school as a result of Covid-19 related cases increased by two-thirds in the past two weeks .
These figures are reported to have been provided by the Department for Education .The heads are alleged to have complained that there was high disruption and a warning that the self-isolation rules were contributing a lot to the spread of the Covid-19 in the schools .
It is also reported that there was a decrease in class attendance from 91.9 % recorded on the 16th of September 2021 , to 89.5% on the 30th of September 2021 .The Covid-19 has had effects on the staff members and the pupils as well.This has reportedly made learning to be difficult .A call has been made for action to be taken to help solve the problem.
