The Republic of South Africa has nine provinces which are governed provincially, Premiers are the ones who hold the highest office according to the hierarchy of the provinces. Since Premiers occupies such positions, surely there is a need for people whom they are leading to know their capabilities through what education qualifications do they have, where did they study it and when? Let me take you straight to their educational profiles one by one, according to their provinces.
The Honorable David Makhura (Gauteng Premier)
He was born on 22 February 1968 at Buysdorp (Soutpanberg District) in Limpopo province. David Makhura holds a Masters of Science degree in public Policy and Management from University of London. For now he is studying towards a Masters in philosophy in future studies at the University of Stellenbosch.
The Honorable Sihle Zikalala (KwaZulu-Natal Premier)
He was born on 6 August 1973 in a small town of Ndwedwe in KwaZulu-Natal. He has the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science. In April 2017, he completed a Bachelor of Administration Honors cum laude in University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2019, he obtained a Master's Degree in Commerce from the Graduate School of Business and Leadership.
The Honorable Oscar Mabuyane (Eastern Cape Premier)
He was born on 24 February 1974 in Engcobo in Eastern Cape Province. He holds Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from University of Fort Hare. Currently he is doing Master's Degree in Public Administration from the same University.
The Honorable Sisi Ntombela (Free State Premier)
She was born on 16 April 1957 in Tweeling in Free state Province. She holds a Diploma in teaching which she obtained from Bonamelo training College.
The Honorable Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane (Mpumalanga Premier)
She was born on 03 September 1973 in Lynnville in Gauteng Province. She holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Tshwane University of Technology. She also obtained a Certificate of Leadership and Governance from University of the Witwatersrand.
The Honorable Stanley Mathabatha (Premier of Limpopo)
He was born on 21 January 1957 in Ga-Mathabatha in Limpopo. He has a Bachelor of Art Degree from the University of Western Cape. He has also a Master's Degree in development from the Graduate School of Leadership of the University of Limpopo. In 2003, he obtained an Executive Management Development Program at Harvard University in United States.
The Honorable Job Mokgoro (Premier of North-West)
He was born on 15 May 1948 in Kimberly in Northern Cape Province. He holds multiple Administrative and Academics honors including a Master's degree and Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from University of Toledo.
The Honorable Zamani Saul (Premier of Northern Cape)
He was born on 07 March 1972 in Colesberg in Northern Cape Province. He holds a Master's Degree in Development Studies from the University of Free state. He did Master's of Laws from University of Western Cape, later on he completed a Doctorate of laws Degree and jurisprudence from the same University. Right now he is studying a Doctorate of Philosophy in Multi-Disciplinary Studies through Unisa.
The Honorable Alan Winde (Premier of Western Cape)
He was born on18 March 1965 in Knysna in Western Cape. He only have a Matric Certificate as his highest qualification.
