EFF Student Command has led to the closure of some campuses at this institution

Durban University of Technology is reported to have decided to close three of its campuses as a result of protests that were reportedly led by the EFF Student Command .

It is reported that the demonstrations that it initiated led to the decision to close the campuses. The campuses that were closed are the ML Sultan , Ritson, and Steve Biko .

In accordance with Independent On Line news , a video that circulated on social media showed the library damaged and the infrastructure burned down .

The chairperson of the Student Representative Council is reported to have highlighted that the institution had neglected its needs for a long time . Nkululeko Mzobe reportedly said that they had raised their concerns but nothing had been done to resolve their concerns .

He revealed that some of the students were yet to receive their allowances for the previous two semesters, hence they were hungry .He also added that some had not received their learning material from NSFAS .
