- A subsequent Durban school has needed to close after an educator tested positive for Covid-19. In a letter routed to guardians, Clairwood Secondary School head Yugan Naidoo, said the school will be shut until further notification.
As per Naidoo, the educator's test outcomes were affirmed at the end of the week.
He (the educator) was at the school a week ago during which time he was in contact with staff individuals. The instructor didn't answer to class yesterday, Monday 8 June. He was never in contact with students," Naidoo said.
He said the instructor visited his PCP and got his covid 19 testoutcomes on Monday.
"He promptly conveyed this data to me. I reached the Department of Education and got mandate to contact the Department of Health. The Department of Health official instructed me to open school today for teachers and students. A group from the Department of Health was conveyed to my school, where screening and testing whenever required was done," Naidoo said.
