College Education

Many People do not know this, But Cyril Ramaphosa is also a Doctor. Here's how.

Cyril Ramaphosa is is our Current president of South Africa. While many did not know about him until he took the presidency in 2017, he actually has a long history in politics and is one of the richest men in South Africa. However he didn't get this way through coincidence, he worked had, and as a result has been recognized by many universities. This recognition has also made him a Doctor. Let me explain.

How Cyril Ramaphosa became a Doctor :

Below is a list of some of the universities that have recognized our president. They gave him honorary doctorates, which means that the university thought he was educated enough to receive the qualifications without actually completing all of the requirements. Having a doctorate, means that he is not just the president of South Africa. He also holds the title of Doctor Cyril Ramaphosa.

What I find interesting in the list above is that it's not just South African universities that recognize his education, but also international ones. Universities in both Ireland and The United States of America have awarded him Doctorates, meaning that our president is educated on an international level. So what does this mean for South Africans.

The implications of this :

Whether you agree with him or not, we have to accept that Cyril Ramaphosa isn't some uneducated person who doesn't know what he is talking about. The man is highly educated and should be at least listened to for his opinions. When our president speaks and addresses our nation, let us at least consider that his words are coming from a place of knowledge and not ignorance. Maybe knowing his education, we can begin to understand him better.
