Kwa-Zulu Natal province which is known for starting the July uprising which resulted in many buildings being destroyed, has not been peaceful since then as several incidents of violence continue to happen.

A video has been shared on social media showing Mangosuthu University of Technology on fire. several people were standing outside watching some parts of the university campus burn to the ground.

The reason why Mangosuthu University of Technology in Umlazi was burned is allegedly because the students are in protest over NSFAS funding.

Communication from MUT says that all classes will be suspended today and all the planned examinations for today are suspended. All staff and students should not go to campus today.

Burned buildings, broken windows are the current scenes at MUT in Umlazi where students were engaged in a protest that resulted in the damage of campus property.

What however infuriates many is that students have to burn the university infrastructure in protest of NSFAS, something which could have been resolved peacefully.

"I wish the management of this institution can suspend all classes till next year June. So that these brainless students can suffer," some said.

"This is seriously sad what is happening in Mlazi?
