The schools may have reopened on Monday the 15th of February 2021 , but there are issues that need to be made right in many schools in South Africa. While some parents rejoiced when schools reopened , it was a sad one for some parents .
This is because on top of worrying over the Covid-19 pandemic, they are worried over the infrastructure of the school. The parents reportedly fear that their children may get injured whilst learning at Selang Primary School .The parents fear for the lives of their children.
A former member of the School Governing Body is reported to have highlighted that the school is full of neglect as they fail to repair even the smallest basic things.
Infrastructure at the school is reported to be the problem at the school and reports suggest that nothing has been done to highlight the issue.
Some parents are reported to have raised the issue of infrastructure to be addressed by the school, but argue that they habe never been listened to.
Even though there is the issue of the infrastructure, the school is reported to have good teachers.
