#CPUTmustfall #Decemberallowances-We are hungry, students cry out

Yesterday students at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology blew up Twitter voicing out their grievances regarding their NSFAS December allowance which they were suppose to have received already.

Till date the students have not received their NSFAS December allowance and they are not happy about it, they claim that if their demands are not met they will resort to violance. The students feel like the only way that the management hears them is if they resort to violence od which it is sometimes they are not happy about, but will do if they are being ignored.

Whilst some are crying out of hunger, some have resorted to stealing. A student posted that someone thad halved all her chicken pieces and took them.

Today the CPUT management issued a statement stating that they have been engaging with student representatives and will address the matter.

With so many students facing issues of hunger and some resorting to stealing, one can only hope that this issue will be resolved very soon. Some student say they are being evacuated by their landlords. It is very sad considering that they are busy with their exams and now they face being evacuated on gop of it they are hungry.

They hope that Minister Blade Nzimande will hear their cries and rescue them from their cries.
