HiMatric results are usually released in the first or the second week of January. However, Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the rescheduled of the learning process caused by Covid-19 in the 2020 Academic year, Results had to be pushed to be released in February because learners wrote exams very late the previous year.

According to the Department of Basic Education and the minister Angie Motshekga. Results will be released on the 22 February 2021. The IEB results will be released on the 19th February 2021, and then on the 22nd February, Angie Motshekga will Announced the Matric results in the national Television in the Evening as always.

On the 23rd February 2021, All the learners of class 2020 with therefore get their results on this date. Results will be sent to learners via SMS, Online and at their Schools. Universities and colleges will open for registration on March 2022 according to Minister of Higher education Blade Nzimade.
