On Thursday morning, before they departed for school, a father allegedly poisoned his four children. Two of the youngsters died on the way to the hospital, while the third died on the way to the school. At the local hospital, the fourth youngster is in critical condition. Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, broke the news and expressed his heartfelt sympathies.
On Friday morning, Lesufi will pay a visit to the two schools that have been affected, as well as the deceased's family. According to the MEC, a psychosocial team visited the school today to provide counseling and assistance to the students. The schools in question are in the Ratanda, Heidelberg, and Sedibeng regions.
Panyaza Lesufi is heartbroken about the news.
Men's killings have recently shocked the country. Is it because guys are having a hard time coping with adversity, or is something seriously wrong? What motivates a parent to taint his own blood with poison? Is it necessary for males to have their own department to deal with their issues? Some attribute the father's actions on poverty. "The ANC's poverty would result in many more fatalities in South Africa. A parent, let alone a man who is unable to provide for his family and does not wish to resort to crime as a final resort, has no choice. I don't approve of the father's behavior; may their souls rest in peace ", according to a Twitter user.
THERE IS NO HARMONY IN THIS COUNTRY. Murders, street fights, car accidents, taxi violence, drug problems, GBV, corruption, mental health issues, unemployment, suicides, and alcohol addiction are all on the rise. As a country, we are sick! MAY THE BOYS AND GIRLS REST IN PEACE. We pray to God to have mercy on our country because something is wrong with us as a people. Just when you think you've seen and heard it all, something worse happens. If the mother is still alive, please accept my condolences on behalf of all her family members who have been directly affected by this tragedy.
