The Stellenbosch University racial incident that sparked widespread outrage has brought SA's racial tensions back into the spotlight. The university's vice-chancellor for learning and teaching, Prof. Deresh Ramjugernath, weighs in.
EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu said “On a normal day the DA normally bombards the media with 5-10 press releases before 12 pm. Most of it critical of the ANC, EFF and government. I Want to guess how many press releases they issued lately about the urinating incident at Stellenbosch University? “
Theophilus Maimangu tweeted “Apparently the media is not showing his face, they are only showing the face of the victim, so let's show him then. His name is Theuns Du Toit, he's the one who urinated on a black student's belongings in Stellenbosch University”
Mzwandile Masina also tweeted “A white student urinates all over a black first year students room, claims this what 'they' do to black boys. I cannot keep quiet about this, justice need to be served. I urge you to play your part so this cannot be covered up”
