She was also appointed as an acting president of the Republic of South Africa on 2 July 202. She have some nice words for 2021 matric students. Basic education minister, Angie Motshekga, is hosting the 27 matric top achievers. She says the class of 2021 is a class of its own. The class that studied for two years under the pandemic. Motshekga says that more than 800 000 learners sat for the matric exams and it's huge that they are top learners. She thanks the parents for also supporting their children. She says these learners are going to be proud for the rest of their loves that they are here today. "This is your proud history." She says they are the "best of the best".

Minister of education Angie Motshekga she says the learners carry the hope, future and aspirations of the country.
