Education department pleads with the nation to get vaccinated. They want full-time attendance.

Unlike many other developed nations South Africa is still in the state of national disaster. Other countries have removed the state of national disasters and deals with problems as they arise instead of just waiting.

Schools in South Africa are following rotational attendance which is causing a lot of learning losses. In extreme cases learners only attend school once a week in a month which is not practical.

The minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga is busy lobbying her colleagues in cabinet to try and allow more leeway for schools especially in primary.

The Department of basic education is also pleading with the nation to get the jab. Countries that dropped the state of national disaster did so after their countries reached herd immunity.

South Africans on the other hand are still resisting vaccines while calling for end to lockdown. This can only be done if people stop spreading lies about vaccines and go out there and get the jab.

The government has tried everything in oder to get people to get vaccinated short of making the vaccines mandatory for everyone.
