There is a Grade 8 English exam paper that is causing a stir on social media. The exam paper has a case study on musician Cassper Nyovest and a couple of questions on the case study. The person who posted said "Respect @casspernyovest got schools writing exams about him. True legend." See the question paper that was posted on Twitter down below.
People commented under the post and had a lot of things to say. Someone commented and said "And the Department of Basic Education thought this case study was acceptable. How are you asking school kids if a guy who became a successful musician did the right choice to drop out of school ? This is Bantu education 2.0." Another person commented and said "No but I believe the main reason behind this was to motivate learners to actually follow their dreams." See some of the other comments people left under the post down below.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think a Cassper Nyovest case study should be part of an exam paper? Comment down below your thoughts.
