Nhlanhla Lux is trending on twitter after he said that the South African education system is nonsense. The current pass rate in the country is 30%. The truth is that he is right. There is a high level of mediocrity in the education system of this country, and it has been like this for years now. Many political leaders such as Mmusi Maimane and Julius Malema have been saying exactly what Lux said.
Here are some comments from the masses:
1."In some country in Europe, kids at school are put through tests to see which career they'd most likely or would prefer and then immediately put into courses that facilitate that career."
2."25 years ago you could walk out of a South African high school and get a job overseas because we had such a good educational system. Nowadays they don't even bother looking at South Africans. They think this country is a joke."
