The SA Social Security Agency (Sassa) made the declaration on Monday after more than 3.7-million applications were declined for August.

He said the reasons that applications have been declined were "mostly in light of the fact that candidates have other distinguished types of revenue or are enrolled for help like Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS)".
