The Gauteng Education MEC Mr Panyaza Lesufi reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday . This was in accordance with the information that was shared by the Gauteng Department of Education in the Media Statement .
It was revealed that the MEC started experiencing breathing difficulties on Thursday night . On Friday , he decided to take a Covid-19 test and the results confirmed that Mr Panyaza Lesufi had tested positive for the pandemic . As part of procedure ,the MEC is in isolation where he is currently recovering from the pandemic . 
A call was made to those who may have been around the MEC to be on the lookout for symptoms or get tested in order to ensure that they are safe from the pandemic . It is sad for the MEC to test positive for the pandemic at a time when he must be enjoying his time with his family .
