The Department of Basic Education announced that it has extended the application date to the 10th of October 2021. The applications were supposed to close on 3rd October, but because of the overwhelming response from unemployed South African youth the dates had to be moved to Sunday 10th.
With the extension of dates comes an alternate way of applying which requires a bit of a data. SA Youth has added a web-based/electronic application form that is not linked to, nor dependent on the SA Youth mobi-site in terms of connectivity or stability. To get the form applicants should visit https://sayouth.me/DBE.
Unlike the SA youth mobi-site that is zero-rated when it comes to the use of data the web base application form need a small amount of data. Please note that SA youth mobi-site is still operational.
The form is easy to complete, the applicants just need to fill in the blanks and ensure information is corect and submit.
All eligible youth of South Africa are encouraged to apply, the application process is not on a first-come first-served basis. Schools will not be accepting walk in applicants due to covid 19.
