Two Free State Schools Closed For The Week Due To Increase In COVID-19 Cases

Schools had been closed for a long period of time and they only reopened recently after the nation address, it was due to a decline in the number of infections and deaths. Many parents were worried because their children were not vaccinated, it was only educators who got the jabs. Parents were complaining that why is it only educators who are being protected from the virus, while their are kids who also be in schools with the same people are not getting vaccinated.

Educators are now at a lower risk of dying from the virus because it was said that if you are vaccinated the virus does not become severe. It seems like the parents worst fear is already happening and closing schools will not help with anything, unless if there is a strategy being put in place meanwhile the kids are away. Two schools that are opposite one another at Wepener in the Free State have been closed due to an outbreak of COVID-19.
