Back to school, and new norm of the pandemic.

Two past years it was a challenging years for school pupils around the country, as they adjusted to the new normal of COVID-19 rotational and online learning.

However, this year the Basic Education Department said that it was ready for the resumption of learning, adding that health and safety protocols remained in place, with social distancing, washing of hands, and sanitising being the basic hygiene practices that must still be adhered to.

The principal of Sekutupu primary school in zebediela Makgamatha"We are very happy to see our children arrive at school today. For our new learners we are ready to take this first little step with them. Their journey begins in the right hands of Sekutupu primary school. I am wishing all of them a very fun and fantastic day.We did a readiness check late last year and this time around with teachers going back it's just to ensure that all protocols are put in place and all lesson plans are also arranged."

Phomolo mphahlele said"i am happy for my first day at school but I feel nervous and little scared on the first day of school because of all the new things and new teachers."

Kekana Dimpho said" I am very happy to be in school. I am ready to face this years challenges"
