A Twitter user shared news on Twitter about a Student who was stabbed to death by her male classmate. The tweet said, "This is mbali Hlongwane an IT student from EWC ,she was stabbed to death by another classmates. Rumours says she’s stabbed because she Qualified to write all her exams".
We know it can get competitive in class but to end up stabbing your classmate is just a wrong on all levels. Another user commented on the post, telling what happened, "He stabbed her twice, on the neck and armpit. My colleague tried to help her unfortunately it was too late💔
Seeing her friends and classmates crying next to her not even knowing what to do💔💔this whole thing started in class as soon as the left the school premises😭😭then this boy pulled a knife on her".
Twitter users reacted to the news with frustration at the Minister of Police and said, "This seems to be getting more and more worse ,while we have all these activist etc ..but still it is continuing and Bheki Cele will go there and make noise then it will be a protest then after that everything goes silent until another woman gets killed. No long term situations."
We are hoping the Minister can hear our cries as more and more people are being killed on a daily basis. We just want justice to be served.
Another person commented sending condolences to the family and said," Such a tragedy. Jealousy is such a deadly weapon. Condolences to the family. "
This seems to be deeper than just qualifying for exams as there is also a screenshot of the classmate threatening to harm Mbali. We are hoping justice gets served for the yound lady.
