High school learner kills geography teacher after failing her subject

We know that the department of education has tried by all means to stop publication of the matrix results on various Newspapers and this is because, in several years, the department has noted that there is a high risk that learners who do not pass their grade 12, they end up committing suicide as they fail to absorb the pressure of failing and the fact that everyone can see. The department also cited the issue of the POPI Act that we now have to follow regarding the handling of personal information.

It has now emerged that a matric learner has killed a teacher after he failed her subject. The learner went to the school and it is believed that he was carrying a gun. He went on to check his marks and then went straight to his geography teacher and shot her. The incident happened in Phomolong High school in Tembisa.

It seems like the kids do not understand that failing matric does not mean that it is the end of the world. Some people have not even gone to school and they are millionaires and some are the most successful business owners.

There is still life after matric whether you pass or fail but now his future is uncertain as he will now be labeled as a killer.
