Mpumalanga started to pull its socks and moved up to the level of high performing provinces. It was then followed by KwaZulu-Natal.
The Eastern Cape has managed to also move up leaving Limpopo limping at the bottom alone. All provinces performed above 70 percent except for Limpopo at 66 percent.
Limpopo has had five MECs of education in the past 10 years. There was Dickson Maemola, Ishmael Kgatjepe, Dikeledi Magazi and currently Poli Boshielo. One of the other MECs who lived in Gauteng past away.
One of the social media users said that, Limpopo province focuses more on high performing students and leave the rest out. This is evident by the number of distinctions the learners in the province have achieved.
The province needs to introspect and find out where the rot is and take it out.
