Pretoria- Mediapersonality and businesswoman, Shauwn Mkhize has received the biggest disappointment of her life after the joy that she had.

One cannot begin to imagine the disappointment that she is going through especially that she had shared with everyone her joy which is also her new tittle.

Few days ago, MaMkhize informed everyone that now she has to be addressed as Dr. Shauwn Mkhize. She even changed the username handle on her Instagram to be Dr. Shauwn Mkhize.

She had lot of congratulatory for her achievement as she received an honorary doctorate by Good Shepherd College of Religion and Training.

We saw many media houses covering that story extensively but it turns out the college that awarded her the honorary degree is not registered.

As MaMkhize flooded the socials with the pictures of her graduation from the main event to the celebratory dinner that was organised for her by friends, the Department of Higher Education and training did some research on the Institution.

The findings from the research were not pleasant at all as it emerged the institution does not even have a website or education domain and worse part, it has no authority to issue a Phd doctorate in philosophy.

The Department then issued a statement;

“Kindly note that the Good Shepherd College of Religion and Training is not registered with the Department as a private higher education institution. We are currently investigating,” said the Department of Higher Education and Training spokesperson Ishmael Mnisi.

He did not offer more information about the investigation and if whether there would be any action taken against the Institution.

A Facebook page under the name of the institution last had a post in 2020.

MaMkhize last week took to social media to share pictures taken from the celebration dinner she had with her family and friends.

She penned a letter to her late parents:

“Dear Mama and Papa. Here we are, your two daughters are both doctors. I hope you and dad are watching over this moment and you are beyond proud. Thank you Lord for this day and thank you to oKhabazela ka Mavovo kayihlandla. It’s moments like this that I cherish from the bottom of my heart, being celebrated and acknowledged whilst I’m still alive.”

The institution could not be reached for comment aa it was difficult to find their contact details online.
