Here are some findings that were made after researchers surveyed Gauteng schools

Equal Education reportedly conducted surveys in the Gauteng schools in order to determine if everything is in place .The findings were shared at the launch of their ¨"NoSpaceForUs ¨ campaign over the weekend in Etwatwa . It was discovered that 70 % of the classes in the schools were overcrowded .

The launch of the campaign reportedly came after many years of calling upon the Ministry of Basic Education to come up with a minimum standard that have to be met by all the schools in terms of infrastructure .In accordance to the report provided ,a class is regarded as being overcrowded when it restricts the teachers and pupils´ ability to create a condusive learning environment .

It was made knoen in the report that 557 out of 751 classes had more than 40 learners . This represented 74% of the classes .Another discovery showed that 72 out of 105 classrooms were too small for learners that were in them .
