When learners leak the examination papers thought elthat it was going to be a free pass while the examination's credibility has been undermined. Ofcourse, not! These are then the consequences of messing with the whole National Education System.
It is understood that the year hasn't been a normal year and everything has been disrupted but that neve gave anyone to engage in a misconduct. The Department of basic education Minister was devastated and disappointed to learn that two examinations papers has been leaked and learners gained access on WhatsApp. At about 190 pupils gained access to the leaked exam. There wasn't another way the department was going to let this slide.
The Council of Education Ministers across all nine provinces along the Education Minister has seen a need to allow the matriculants rewrite the leaked exam papers. Mathematics paper two and Physical sciences paper two has been leaked on a day it was set to be written and they will be rewritten on the following dates. Refer on a snapshot;
However, there was rumors on Mathematics paper one to have leaked along with the Life Sciences paper but they are still under investigations. Recently, SABC News Izindaba reported that Business Studies paper has allegedly leaked too, but the news on that haven't been clear.
On rewrite process learners are not complaining with it and responded to SABC News Izindaba that it is actually a great idea that the papers have to be rewritten because they were nervous that they will get lower Mark's while those who had access to the papers will get high marks and fill up the spaces in the universities. The learner who talked to SABC News crew said that, she was devastated when she got home and hear the news that those papers have been leaked after writing those leaked examinations. Anyone can be mad.
Fortunately, papers wi be rewritten and May the Best Candidate win.
