The Zimbabwean residents will be pleased to note that there are more than 800 schools located in the remote parts of the country which have been connected to the internet.
This is reported to have been made possible by the Zimbabwe Academic and Research Network. This will make it possible for these more than 800 schools in remote areas of Zimbabwe to have access to e-learning which was introduced as a result of the pandemic. Schools in Zimbabwe have had to rely on internet learning as a result of the restrictions that came because of the Covid-19 pandemic. This initiative will make it easy for the learners to adapt to the new ways of acquiring education.
Physical classrooms are slowly being replaced by the online platform as a way of ensuring that there is no spread of the pandemic.
This is a great development for remote schools as they have been behind in terms of online education and this will work towards balancing equality in terms of Education in Zimbabwe between remote schools and urban schools.
