At around 4 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, the form four student and five others allegedly slipped out of their school and crept into a female dormitory at Komothai ladies secondary school.
When they arrived at the girls' dormitory, Phoeb House, for an unknown mission, they were observed by some girls, who instantly raised the alarm, drawing the attention of the entire school. The school's guards, teachers, and students all raced to the dormitories to see what was going on.
According to Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations, four guys escaped while the deceased was detained by the girls and school staff.
"When five of the guys sensed danger, they managed to find their way back to their school, while the deceased was encircled by irate students and staff." They unfortunately descended on him, suffering him life-threatening injuries. "The youngster later died as a result of his injuries at Kigumo level IV hospital," according to the statement.
When detectives arrived at the location after the event, they discovered planks of wood that had been used to assault the suspect.
The police have warned the public not to take the law into their own hands. They recommend that the public provide suspects the opportunity to face justice in a court of law.
