Parents Rejoice As Department Of Basic Education Wants All Primary School Grades To Return To Normal
Parents are overjoyed that the Department of Basic Education requires all primary school students to return to school as they were before the outbreak of Covid 19. The students went to school once or twice a week and agreed to prevent the spread of covid 19 among students by forming groups.
Since they only go to school two or three days a week, kids have had a lot of homework, and teachers have been forced to offer extra work to ensure that students don't miss too much schoolwork.
Parents have expressed their dissatisfaction with the department's desire for students to return to school.
We all know that winter is approaching, and June is one of the coldest months in the world, so that's when the cases could skyrocket, sending us back to the third wave, where cases are already exceeding 1500 per day. Let's hope that everyone in the workplace is vaccinated before the third wave arrives.
Some parents have pleaded with the department to hold off until the third wave has passed, while others have rejoiced at the prospect of being rid of all this work and not having to give out R1 every time, even though it isn't school work.
The department is also debating because it needs students to make up for lost time in their studies.
