Motorists will feel the pinch next month and not just from the cold weather. Petrol and diesel prices will increase significantly next month and that will hit motorists hard.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that the incoming increases of petrol and diesel will be hard on consumers. He further announced that the relief introduced by government of removing fuel levy will also be reintroduced.
The reason for the increase according to the president, is due to rising oil prices across the globe. He said everyone in the world is facing a similar situation.
This increase may be the straw that breaks the camel's back. One cannot help but wonder how far this increases will go. And what government is doing to mitigate this this problem. We need a decisive government that can help people and make things better. The president and his cabinet should find a way to help struggling households.
