How to Track Your April R350 SASSA Grant Application Status on WhatsApp

Do you wish to keep track of your R350 SASSA grant application?

Here are some simple strategies to stay on top of your R350 grant application.

Beneficiaries of the COVID19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) award will have to reapply for help, according to the Department of Social Development, because the grant will now be distributed under a new legislative framework that many people find confusing.

In April 2022, the SRD declared a National State of Disaster. Since President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the subsidy extension in his state of the country address, however, the Department of Social Development has been working on a regulatory framework for payment of the subsidy. Additional eligibility and assessment requirements have been added to the SASSA R350 grant's legislative framework, forcing grantees to reapply if they have previously received support.

"Fortunately, the entire application system is still entirely digital, allowing for quick access and response times," Sassa remarked.

KEY FEATURES OF THE NEW APPLICATION:

The SASSA SRD website (https://srd.sassa.gov.za) is where applications can be submitted.

According to Sassa, there will be more application channels available in the near future.

Applicants for the SASSA R350 welfare will be considered beginning in the month of application and validated each month, according to the agency.

"This means that starting in April 2022, all applications submitted in April will be evaluated; but, because to a delay in the procedure, April payments will be paid in May."
