It seems that Supermarkets have realised that majority of their customers either don't know their Math, or they don't really pay attention to the prices as long as they see that certain goods are on a sale. It's similar to Black Friday, if you make up a price and say 50% off meanwhile it's not, majority of people will by that product.
A Twitter user by the name of Kulani posted pictures showing the tricks that a certain Supermarket is using in order to double it's profits. But is it really just an innocent trick or are they actually scamming their customers without them realizing?
Everyone wants their profits to either double or triple, but doubling the amount of one's profit through dishonest gain is something wrong. Had this been a Spaza shop, there would be a lot of noise concerning the matter.
