As everyone probably knows by now, The Bidvest Group is one of the biggest conglomerate we have in the country, the company was established in 1988 by Mr Brian Joffe. He took the company from being a small time fish in the mud to being in the top 10 of the most traded companies in the history of JSE.
As things stand, The Bidvest Group employs a total of 132 870 people in the country and abroad. With that said, The Bidvest Group is one of the few companies in SA trying so hard to curb the rising unemployment levels we have in the country. Its certainly doing the most than all the corrupt politicians combined in this country.
Over the years since its inception, The Bidvest Group has acquired percentage% stakes in over 300 companies not only in South Africa but across the world. This smart acquisitions made the Bidvest Group what it is today.
As you'd expect, the Bidvest Group has no plans of stopping anytime soon and this was evidenced by the recent acquisition of a UK based company. The Bidvest Group paid a whopping £495 million
