According to a source Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter's departure from his ex-employer Sasol was not on a good note. This comes after certain individual in management level were alleged to have shared inappropriate communication of "racist" nature wich could have risk the reputation of the company.
The explosive details are contained in a report which was put together by Werksman attorneys. The law firm was instructed by then Sasol CEO David Constable as part of the investigation into allegation that the company was undermined by Andrew De and his associates.
According to a source the CEO gave the law firm access to the Sasol servers to probe more into the allegations. The Senior lawyer Bernard Hotz manage to discover a racist communication ( Email) which was exchanged between De Ruyter and his associates. The e-mail ridiculed both Julius Malena and the late Winnie Madikizela - Mandela.
In one on the communication sent to Beijing Huis on March 27, 2013. It is alleged that the current Eskom CEO De Ruyter shared a racist joke about the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
In another communication sent by an executive Fourie Charman to De Ruyter on August 16, 2013, some inappropriate remarks(racist joke) were discovered about Julius Malema on De Ruyter's email.
Sasol spokesperson Alex Anderson did confirm that there was an investigation conducted.
Andre De Ruyter parted ways with Sasol on November 30,2013. However his departure was not connected to the conclusion of the investigation which took place.
It very disappointing that such an investigation report is circulating. The worst thing is that the alleged report never concluded. The aim is to turnish my image said De Ruyter.
