SASSA: SRD R1500 to be paid monthly? See what the Government have in plan

South Africa's government recently gave out a one-time R350 COVID-19 unemployment grant, an initiative spearheaded by the African National Congress and President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa.

Those who have had their wages reduced as a result of Covid-19, as well as those who are now unemployed but otherwise eligible, will receive assistance.

After that, a few people went to the authorities to propose a permanent unemployment fund.

The R350 Social Relief of Distress Grant recipients are being urged by the Pay The Grants grassroots mission hashtag to receive their funds as soon as possible from Sass and the Department from Social Development.

They're also demanding a steady R1500 salary for every unemployed person. The question is whether or not the public agency will respond to the appeal and grant the R1500 in extraordinary assistance requested.

Low-income SA residents account for 40% of all out charge revenue. Almost 28 percent of South Africa's population now receives government aid, up from 18 percent before Covid.
