Eskom says it will suspend load-shedding from 9pm on Friday as seven age units have returned to help.
Eskom agent Sikonathi Mantshantsha said two units at the Majuba power station staggered and a further unit was shut down for emergency fixes for the present.
He said a unit each at Grootvlei and Tutuka power stations furthermore staggered.
"Of the five units, two have since returned to help," he said.
Complete breakdowns as of now total to 14,960MW while organized help is 3,345MW of cutoff.
"Eskom should thank people of SA for their agreement and appreciation during the stack shedding," Mantshantsha said.
"While the stock has further developed now, Eskom should request everyone to continue to use power sparingly as the structure is helpless and whimsical."
