Eskom announces Stage 2 load shedding from 5pm today

Eskom said Stage 2 load shedding would be carried out from Wednesday at 5pm until 5am on Saturday. 

The power utility said this was credited to progressing lacking age limit and the departure of a unit each at three of its power stations, including Medupi, Duvha and Kendal.

The power utility added that the execution of burden shedding was to save the excess crisis saves at the OCGT and siphon stockpiling power stations to forestall higher phases of burden shedding. 

Eskom said, of the five units that fizzled on Tuesday, a unit at Majuba, Kriel and Matimba power stations, have gotten back to support while the leftover two units are going through heater tube spill fixes. 

Absolute breakdowns right now add up to 15 485MW while arranged upkeep is 4 100MW of limit.

"We remind clients that heap shedding is carried out if all else fails to keep up with the strength of the power framework paying little heed to the phase of burden shedding." 

Eskom apologized for the burden mentioning general society to diminish the use of power.
