Former president Jacob Zuma's son-in-law Lonwabo Sambudla is a young, yet experienced executive and a businessman with significant in property investment, development, corporate advisory, financial services, consulting, engineering and telecommunications.
He currently the Group Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Bayete Capital - a company operating in the property sector.
Lonwabo Sambudla started out in the civil engineering field and successfully completed the management advancement programme at Wits Business School.
His keen interest in the property sector led him to also graduate as a commercial property practitioner from University of Pretoria. Currently the former president's son-in-law is completing his research paper for his Master's degree in entrepreneurship and he also holds a postgraduate diploma from Witswatersrand University.
Apart from his extensive list of accolades and degrees, he linked to the ANC, and he is son-in-law of former president Jacob Zuma.
Lonwabo Sambudla met the president's daughter Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla in 2009, and they tied the knot in 2011 in a lavish wedding that was held in Game Reserve near East London, witnessed by 600 socialites, celebrities and politicians.
The couple's union is blessed with two children. However, Mr Sambudla has a love child whom Duduzile says no contact to.
In 2020, Mr Sambudla's estranged wife Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla was accused of preventing her kids from meeting their half-sibling.
Lonwabo Sambudla said his estranged wife had refused their two children contact with the child he fathered with his mistress while married to the former president's daughter.
Mr Sambudla said Duduzile is refusing to let their two kids to visit him for the holidays with his other kids in. Mr Sambudla has since then filed for court papers to obtain access to his kids.
