Andre de Ruyter , who is the Eskom CEO revealed what South Africa should expect as it heads towards the weekend.He revealed that there was an expectation for load shedding to be eased upon the return of some generation units and no further breakdowns.
In accordance with what he said on Thursday morning, Stage 2 load shedding is expected to come to an end on at 9pm on Thursday. He would add that there was an expectation for Stage 1 load shedding to be implemented on Friday which should last the whole day.

The changes are expected to be confirmed on Thursday afternoon as the utility awaits the return of some generation units. The CEO also revealed that some of the technical challenges were a result of human error and investigations were being conducted to determine if it were negligence or malice.
