Well have you ever wondered how these braai pack companies manage to prepare all the chickens at such a short period of time since they have to deliver throughout the country and beyond?...
The reason why they always meet deadlines is because they don't manually remove the feathers but rather, they utilize a machine to help with the dirty work.
Now the 1 hundred thousand trillion rand question, "How does an automatic chicken feather remover work or how long does it take for each chicken??"
Contrary to what most people think, these machines aren't necessarily automatic, they're more semi-auto than fully automatic. There is a little bit of labor involved to get it rolling but at the same time, it isn't that much as hand-plucking.
Well it's not an ABC answer that can be explained in a single sentence but if we're to some it up in a few words is that mostly related to how the machine is structured from the inside.
To start the removing the feathers on a chicken, the chicken needs to be killed first the placed in the machine for some 3-5 minutes. Afterwards, the machine should be switched off and the chickens removed. The you're done, simple as that.
