In South Africa corruption, fraud is not only done by the politicians, also the residents do unspeakable corruption so that they benefit alone. R 111 million was allegedly stolen from the UIF’s Covid-19 relief fund by Hammanskraal businessman Thabo Abel Simbini is now in the State’s coffers.
Mr Thabo Abel Simbini allegedly received the money that was meant for individual claims from people and the money was Pais into his bussiness account and he later transferred the money to different FNB accounts.
So now my question is to whom will the money be returned to, once it's recovered ? I think it's going be looted again.
As soon as he returns the money he must be arrested , how are they planning on recovering the money. I just hope that they recover all the money and return it to the right people that genuinely needed the relief fund. But my other worry is that how did UIF employees approve this payment if they suspected fraud.
