Petrol in south africa is extremely expensive and making it difficult to open a business which will include transportation because you will need to increase the price imagine you open a food business which has nothing to do with fuel prices but your customers want you to deliver there orders.
You will be left with no option but to increase the prices so that you can also make some profit because at the end of the day you will be working for nothing if you don't change the prices.
The local residents saw the fuel truck overturning and instead of calling the police first they run with container to steal the diesel.
Below are comment made by people.
Seems it's now a daily thing in SA..from food stuffs , electricals, diesel you name it.The propensity to steal is so high. Is there a forming pattern perhaps ?Poverty has a way to trigger a self justified stealing spree...infact the locals don't even use tht term. Helping oneself.
The leaders are billionaires now from stealing and they have neglected the poor. Desperation can make one do unimaginable things. Even the president is hiding millions under his bed when so many go to bed hungry.
