Using electricity sparingly

The major contribution to these short notice power cuts is the mounting pressure on their system as the demand rises. Eskom has continued to plead with people to use electricity sparingly and invest in surge protectors in order to avoid any damages when the power comes back.

Checking your schedule

Aside from the aforementioned schedule, City Power and other independent municipalities have their own. Please inquire with them so that you can plan ahead and avoid any inconvenience if the power goes out. The Loadshedding notifier application or Eskom's portal are the most reliable ways to track it.
