As everyone probably knows by now, Takealot is the largest e-commerce retail shop not only in South Africa but the whole of Africa. So far, its responsible for close to 90% of all the transaction that made online in South Africa and 50% of all the transaction in the continent of Africa.
Normally during Black Fridays, the system of Takealot crushes because many customers would want to buy the special deals Takealot normally makes. Delivery doesn't take that long with the e-commerce giants, after 7 working days, an individual would receive their package.
Just in case you didn't know, Takealot was launced in 2011 by Kim Reid, firstly they bought another SA e-commerce called Take2 and officially renamed it to Takealot and like the wise man once said, the rest is history.
Kim Reid is still the CEO of Takealot but no longer owns any part of Takealot because SA's conglomerate Naspers acquired the whole of it in 2018.
What do yall think?? Let's talk in the comments section
