Capitec and FNB users warned by two people on social media who claim to know concerning information. The first one is basically advising people who are Capitec bank and FNB (First National Bank) users to move all of their money such as bonuses to other banks for the upcoming festive season. Even though the lady did not clarify as to why people should actually follow her advice, a much more bigger claim came with one of her commentors and other South Africans revealed personal experiences with the institutions.
Apparently, there is a person who steals money from capitec. They are currently unemployed but have two houses and flats. Furthermore, Papa Xinyenyani said he lost a total amount of eight thousand Rands (R8k) in the past and has since switched to another bank. Xinyenyani did not mention the precise bank that he has lost his large sum of money to. On the other hand, a capitec client complained about allegedly their customer losing eighty two thousand Rands (R82k) a few days ago, he contacted the bank within 16hrs and is still waiting for the finalization of investigation.
Well, those who directly tagged the bank on social media did get some form of assistance and were told to acquire help privately.
Some people seemingly, were convinced that there is literally no better banking institution. While others said Capitec is actually the best. A clashing of social opinions most probably depending on personal experiences with the different banks.
As much as it is the responsibility of the bank to keep your money safe. Make it a point that you keep your cards safe, avoid risky online purchases that require your personal bank details and cvv number, in case of any card emergency, remember to use the entity virtual application to block the card or contact the bank immediately within 16hrs. Bank safely and stress all the safety features that your bank gives you.
