South Africa is experiencing a lot of economic hardships with people not being able to provide for themselves and their families. Our economy is in recovery but the pace is not fast enough to generate enough jobs for millions of citizens.
There is hope on the selling of cannibus in the country. The selling of cannibus will open new revenue streams for businesses and create much needed jobs.
The federation believes that there is a lot bureaucracy in the bill that might hamper progress and the creation of jobs.
The bill still contain criminalisation in certain instances that Cosatu finds to be unwelcome. Again the bill emphasises the use of cannibus being for medicinal and religious purposes. We await the conclusion of the draft bil.
